  I'm using the last release, not trunk. This is supposed to go into  
a shipping product, so I thought it safer to use a stable release  
than an unstable trunk.

  BTW -- how do you handle corrections like that? The web site says  
to send diffs to andy+sparkle, is that the way? Or can one get SVN  
access? In particular, I've added a bit of delegation, and found a  
few error handling bugs.
