I think this did not help.. The problem still exists. Perhaps I'm  
doing something wrong. To test your fix I "faked" a new version in  
the appcast, setting the shortVersionString to "2.0rc1" and the  
current date/time. But when I check for updates Sparkle tells me that  
2.0rc1 is the newest version.
