[Sparkle] Ideas for a sparkle manager

Hi,

I think all the developers that use Sparkle should come together and
design a system to make it uni-formal like the Apple update system,
basically we all just comment on each others ideas and commit our own
*were all developers im sure we know whats possible and whats not*
and then someone collects it all and hopefully we can get some people
working on it.

So far my idea is Sparkle becomes application *Daemon* like Growl
where we register our applications details into the database
*Possibly add a system to scan for legacy sparkle systems?* then once
they are in the database the Sparkle application routinely scans all
the update feeds *user defined time* and then if any updates
available it display a window almost identical to the Apple System
Update.

Of course this could be expanded to allowing users to say times for
each application and such, also allow Sparkle to take administrative
rights for certain applications which need the permissions *I had
issues with a kext inside my application*

Im sure many others have great ideas, and so far i think my idea is
brilliant and would simplify updating a machine globally quick and
efficient, but im also sure theres plenty of holes in the idea

PS. We could even make it so a developer can say i need admin rights
or a reboot, or run this shell script when updating *Best to give
warnings and list what will run*
