[Sparkle] dreaded update error....

Jerry,

Not sure what other details I can give....followed the instructions
to the letter.

Is there a piece of information I can provide other than my appcast
(which has links to the files, the xml structure, the appcast
content, feed url, etc) which would help?

As far as putting HTML in the description tags....this works
perfectly fine. We use an app called "Feeder" which simplifies the
Sparkle Appcast process by providing templates for the additional RSS
tags (for things like enclosure, MD5 sums, etc). We actually use it
on other products for other websites/servers...works great!

The error (on update attempt) says:
"Update Error!"
"An error occurred in retrieving update information;
are you connected to the internet? Please try again
later."

I most certainly am connected to the internet...I can see the both
the enclosure (files) and the feed just fine...appear completely
normal. The tags inside my app are correct as well..also the version
number is set correctly to mirror what the appcast has recorded.

But, that being said...I make no public declaration on being smarter
than anyone :)

Jeremy, I believe that if you want someone to answer your question
you're going to have to give a better description of the problem than
"can't get updates to work".

I can make one suggestion, however. I see that you have put actual
html in the <description> tags of your two items. Unless you're way
smarter than me, I suggest that instead of actual html, you consider
simply a link to an external html file, like this:

<description>http://myCompany.com/myApp/UpdateNews_1.html</description>

That should make things much easier to read, test and troubleshoot.
