I've written up a bunch of stuff on the Sparkle wiki
(http://sparkle.andymatuschak.org/wiki/Documentation/PosetVersioning),
including a proposed branch labelling mechanism. It's still obviously
a draft, but it's got at least some of my ideas written down a bit
more fully.
